Tractor Operators

A position has become available for an experienced tractor drivers to work in Perth with various tractor operations.The Turf Enterprise is a Perth based company specializing in turf implementing and maintaining.  The successful candidate can be based in Perth..

The applicant would be required to travel throughout Perth depending on where the job is located. The company specializes in turf operations for ovals and parks owned by the local Shires. They tender for contracts to maintain ovals and parks which may include fertilizer spreading, regenerating etc.

The tractors used are modern air conditioned Fendts or a Kabota with the necessary equipment behind. They would prefer the candidate to be a non smoker, must be able to communicate and work unsupervised. You would have to have a Truck (HR) licence to shift the machines around.

This position maybe suitable for a semi retired person looking for work and enjoys the outdoors.

Farmhand/Mechanic - Albany (WA) - 100-75

Farmhand/Mechanic

A position has become available on a large mixed broad acre farming property in the Albany region. Albany is situated 450kms south of Perth on the southern coast of Western Australia. Albany is a large regional centre with all the necessary facilities for education, sport and shopping. The family owned property is 60kms from Albany and they have full time staff to assist with there farming practices. They are looking for somebody who is prepared to work as a team member, be able to perform general mechanical skills on their machinery, be able to weld and assist with other farm hand duties as they arise. The position is seasonal at this stage depending on skills. The position is for immediate start.

Tractor Operator - Karratha (WA) 1007-7

Tractor Operator

A position has become available for an experienced tractor driver to work up at Karratha throughout the year assisting the company with various tractor operations.The Turf Enterprise is a Perth based company specialising in turf implementing and maintaining. Karratha is located 1500kms North of Perth and is a large regional centre with mining being the main source of industry. The successful candidate can be based in Perth and be prepared to fly up to Karratha or live in Karratha.

The applicant would be required to work 4-5 weeks at a time and then have time off. The company speialises in turf operations for ovals and parks owned by the local Shire. They have  just successfully received a tendor to slash all the road side verges in the Karratha Shire.

The tractors used are modern air conditioned Fendts or a Kabota with the necessary equipment behind. They would prefer the candidate to be a non smoker, must be able to communicate and work unsupervised.

This position maybe suitable for a semi retired person looking for work and enjoys the outdoors.

The rate of pay is $25 - $30 per hour with single accommodation provided in a Dongar at their facilities in Karratha.You may wish to use your own mobile home or caravan if you wish. Grain Accumulation Manager (Narrogin WA)
Grain Accumulation Manager

A position has become available for an experienced grain buyer in Narrogin in Western Australia. Narrogin is located 190kms SE of Perth in the Upper Great Southern Region of Western Australia.
The successful applicant is responsible for maximizing the accumulation of grains into the Narrogin facility , providing a high level of customer service to existing growers and developing new grower relationships.
To be considered for this position you must have agricultural experience with grains, be able to liaise with both growers and contractors, actively promote the accumulation products and services offered by the company.
You must also be able to promote close grower relationships through regular visits, attendance at local industry Meetings and other industry functions.

Selection criteria
- Business acumen to monitor and manage costs and budgets
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Vigilance to changes in markets and competitors.
- Strong relationships with key players in the grain trading industry.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of grain purchase contracts.
- Computer skills
- Logistics knowledge
- Licence (C)
- Tertiary certificates or experience in Agribusiness, business or finance.

Grain Site Manager/Supervisor

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, innovative, highly motivated person to join a Grain merchant in Narrogin The company requires an experienced operator to manage its Narrogin facility in Southern WA. Applicants experienced in grain receival, storage, packing equipment, container handling and loader driving will be preferred.

Desirable skills
- Minimum 2 years experience in a grain operational environment
- Leadership and people management experience
- Grain sampling and quality assessment
- AG safe accreditation
- Grain protection and fumigation skills
- Licence - Forklift, front end loader, skid steer, heavy vehicle
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude

Applicants should demonstrate good communication skills, be able to follow procedures, and work co-operatively in a team environment. Applicants must be prepared to commit to the harvest period and be prepared to work varied hours.
