Some essentials that the employer is looking for is someone that can demonstrate working knowledge of all station systems with a specific emphasis on maintenance and machinery operation. It is desirable for a applicant to have advanced mechanical, welding and fabrication skills, low stress stock handling course, basic or intermediate record keeping.
This position is available for immediate start at the salary of $60K+ depending on the experience of the applicant with a 3 bedroom house with access to School of the Air via Kalgoorlie. The property runs to 2000 acres and consists of some cropping , 200 breeding cows and a 2500 - 3000 head feedlot.Applicants should have the ability to take the daily responsibility of running this type of operation, as well as taking on general farm duties when required. This may (but is not restricted to) suit a person who is ready to take the next step in their career in the cattle feedlot industry. You will be required to have the ability to manage 1 -2 casual staff at different times and should have good workshop and mechanical skills.The property is located 22km SE of Munglinup (4km from beach) and 100km from Esperance. Farmhand/Overseer is required for a expanding farm 15km from Hyden which is situated four hours' drive south east of Perth, via the Brookton Highway.
More than 100,000 tourists visit the town every year on their way to the famous Wave Rock. Wave Rock is just four kilometres east of Hyden on a nature reserve of some 160 hectares. The Rock is a granite cliff, 15 metres high and 110 long, shaped remarkably like a huge wave. Other natural attractions in the area include Hippo's Yawn, Mulka's Cave and the Wave Rock Walk Circuit. The Aboriginal art in Mulka's Cave is some of the best found in the southwest of Western Australia.
We are seeking an experienced farmhand willing to take responsibility of running the property when the owner is off site. Your would be expected to have sound knowledge of most farming operations and have good mechanical skills, as well as the ability to operate all types of broad acre farm machinery. The successful applicant must also have some knowledge and experience of feedlot.
This is a full time position with very good conditions available to the right person (meals provided if working). Accommodation can be sourced in town and help with any rental costs will be made available. It would also be preferred that the applicant have their own transport.
