Cropping/Maintenance Overseer
A Cropping/Maintenance Overseer is require for a farming property in Esperance, Esperance is located 731km south east of Perth and is growing farming and fishing community with vast facilities for all ages.
The successful applicant will be required to be responsible for the preparing, seeding and harvesting of an average 1,700Ha wheat, barley, oat, triticale cropping program as a single operator mostly done by conventional methods (ploughing, cultivating etc) with some minimum tillage used.
The successful applicant must be able to work with all modern machinery but no GPS oir auto steer as yet. .The applicant will also be required to perform the following duties;
* Make approx 1,400 round rolls of hay per year
* Liaise with Agronomist when required
* Maintain all other machinery and structures as required throughout the year.
* Keep and maintain records for CBH IQ program and on-farm records
* HC Truck licence
In this position you will mainly working alone to carry out duties, however assistance is available from the other staff (three stockmen) at the busiest times. However contractors are employed for the windmill, fence and re-placements and other specialized work. Some of the essential duties/skills that the employer is looking for are as follows;
The successful applicant for the position will be on a rate of pay of $50,000 + Neg which will also have a 3 bedroom A/C house as part of the package, with power, gas, phone, fuel allowance and meat supplied.
