 Tom Wilson
Managing Director

The Wilson family have come to Australia from Scotland. Beginning his working life on a farm and then pursuing a career as a shearer. Tom has travelled extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand and the UK and during his travels attained the highest competition level in the shearing industry. He comes from a successful shearing contracting and recruiting business and has been a qualified trainer with the British Wool Marketing Board.
Tom has owned Rural Enterprises for three years and in that time has bought about many changes, including updating and revamping the recruitment database and procedures.
During the course of his ownership Tom has re established personal contact with New Zealand applicants by traveling to New Zealand for Field days and visiting towns to meet with prospective candidates in both the South and North Islands.
Many of the company's Australian clients have also benefited from meeting Tom on their properties and putting their case forward. Another area which has been utilised more extensively has been advertising, with the budget now being three fold previous years and encompassing radio as well and print media.
Tom's hard work, and that of his staff, is being rewarded by the increase in both clients and candidates steadily taking place.
Although not perfect, the company continues to strive to a high level of customer service to both candidates and clients.
Rural Enterprises also continues to provide free information on employment issues at seminars across Western Australia. Ruarl Safe is also taking off with client numbers slowly increasing as people sign up and realise the benefits of the program.

Bev Carstairs
Manager

Bev began working for Rural Enterprises in 1999 and has been here ever since.
Bev's knowledge of the company gained over this time sees her familiar with Administration, Payroll, Human resources issues, 457 visa applications and Recruiting policy and procedures. Bev was integral in the establishment of the Rural Safe employee on line induction and administers clients and users of the system as well as updating content and managing the system help line.
Coming from an agricultural background (bred in Doodlakine, working life in Corrigin) in addition to her solid Book Keeping and administration roles Bev has also been a hands on spray operator and CBH weighbridge officer, which has helped her to keep a solid rapport over the years with our clients. Recently Bev has progressed to a Management position alongside Tom and assists with the smooth running of the company in his absence.

  Sharmayne Davidson
Senior Personnel Consultant

My name is Sharmayne Davidson and I have recently moved from Esperance in southern Western Australia to Perth to join the great team at Rural Enterprises as a Personnel Consultant.  Some of you might know me from my previous positions as the Advertising Sales Manager of the Esperance Express Newspaper or as a Job Placement Officer for Max Employment in Esperance.   If neither of the above ring any bells here is a little about myself: 
I am originally from Esperance WA and returned after completing my schooling.  I have spent the past 6 years working and volunteering my time within the local Esperance community in various positions.  I have had the pleasure of working with local businesses people marketing their businesses as well as assisting with their recruitment needs. During my time with Max Employment I was able to assist employer's find suitable employees for their expanding businesses. I have also had the opportunity to successfully place   people seeking employment into positions at which they have excelled.  The skills I gained in cross matching  employees skills with  those  required for  vacancies lodged I bring with me and  hope to continue  my successful record in my exciting new role  at  Rural Enterprises.
I very much look forward to liaising closely with the both the business owners and the potential employees to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of information. We will be seeking feedback and encourage any constructive criticisms that can help us adapt as a business and cater to your needs. Ashleigh Waight
Admin Officer

Ashleigh joins our team in a Permanent Full Time
Admin Officer role.
Welcome back Ash.

Ashleigh came to Rural Enterprises in 2006 to complete one semester of work experience through St Bridgid's College. Ashleigh was such an asset to Rural Enterprises that we approached her school and requested that she be permitted to complete her whole year of work experience with our company.
Ashleigh started in a full time capacity with Rural Enterprises as an Administration Officer in January of 2008 and is organising our front office procedures.
Ashleigh is the smiling face of Rural Enterprises and direct clients and candidates to the appropriate people within the office, if she is not able to assist them personally. Ashleigh has become proficient at addressing the needs of our clients and candidates and records orders for clients as well as application forms and resumes for candidates into our extensive database for accurate job matching. Ashleigh also deals with employees timesheets and enters payroll into the system each week.
