This is a key hands-on role reporting directly to the owners, with long-term potential to step into an Operations Manager position.

Good things to know:

  • Family-friendly and safety-conscious workplace culture;
  • BBQs, sundowners, and a collaborative team environment.

About the role:

  • Operate and maintain broadacre machinery for seeding, spraying, and harvest;
  • Assist with seasonal planning and implementation of the cropping program;
  • Relocate machinery and inputs between farms (MC licence preferred);
  • Help uphold high standards of machinery care, safety, and general property presentation;
  • 45-hour weeks in the off-season, with extended hours during seeding and harvest;
  • Reporting directly to the owners, with scope to manage the property in their absence over time.

About you:

  • Some broadacre cropping experience;
  • Spraying experience preferred, though training can be provided;
  • MC/HC licence highly desirable;
  • Confident operating modern machinery;
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and initiative;
  • A safe and tidy worker with attention to detail;
  • Good communicator who can ask questions and work well with others;
  • Respectful, approachable, and solutions-focused with a ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Keen to grow within the business and step into more responsibility over time.

What’s on offer:

  • Full-time, long-term position with scope for career progression;
  • Clear pathway to an Operations Manager role for the right person;
  • Two-bedroom on-farm cottage in good condition included;
  • Mentorship from supportive owners and opportunity to be part of decision-making;
  • Work/life balance in a coastal location with strong community connections;
  • Competitive salary package, commensurate with experience.
