Job Description

An experienced Machinery Operator with strong mechanical skills is required for a family owned large mixed property (cattle) cropping wheat, barley and canola. Located in Ravensthorpe, next to the Fitzgerald National Park with beaches only an hour away. MC license and previous mechanical maintenance and repairs experience favourable.  Accommodation, utilities and vehicle included.

About the Role:

• Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all machinery;
• Operating machinery during seeding and harvest periods;
• Occasional earthworks.

Essential requirements:

• MC Truck licence (desirable);
• Experience operating broadacre machinery;
• Attention to detail;
• Strong mechanical skills required;
• Ability to work unsupervised;
• Be able to come to the owner with a solution not just the problem.

• Team player, good communication;
• Self-motivated.

What’s on Offer:

• $40+ per hour, depending on experience;
• 5 days per week; 50 hours per week on an average week (hours increase during the busy seasons);
