Job Description
Are you passionate about hay and grain production and ready to lead? A progressive, family-owned farming enterprise in WA’s Eastern Wheatbelt is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to take charge of daily operations across their large-scale export hay and grain property. This is a rare chance to step into a leadership role that blends autonomy with owner support, excellent modern equipment, and a strong team. You’ll oversee all seasonal operations and lead a full-time operator and up to six seasonal staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement year-round operational tasks with owner’s hand on mentorship during busy times;
- Lead, support and coordinate staff and contractors;
- Manage key seasonal activities such as spraying, seeding, hay production and harvest;
- Maintain machinery and equipment;
- Collaborate on and help implement agronomic programs;
- Foster a culture of safety, timeliness, and efficiency.
About You:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in mechanics, grain and/or hay production;
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing/maintaining farm equipment;
- Confident leader with practical problem-solving skills;
- Sound knowledge or passion for agronomy and crop management;
- Comfortable and proactive while living and working in a rural community;
- Minimum HR Licence.
