Job Description

Join a progressive mixed cropping and sheep operation in the Balranald region of NSW, with 6,500ha of cereals and legumes alongside a large Merino flock. This hands-on role offers plenty of variety – from broadacre machinery operation to livestock husbandry and general property maintenance.

The successful candidate will work as part of a small, skilled team, assisting with cropping programs, livestock feeding and handling, mechanical servicing, and infrastructure upkeep. About the Role:

• Operate broadacre cropping machinery (CASE tractors 200–500HP, 18m Horsch seeder);
• Assist with all seasonal programs – seeding, spraying, harvest, grain handling (some contractors are used)
• Livestock work – feeding, husbandry, fencing and water runs;
• Machinery maintenance and workshop duties;
• General farm upkeep including fencing, sheds, and property improvements;
• Load/unload trucks and operate loaders, telehandlers, ATVs and side-by-sides;
• Standard hours with additional during peak seasons (seeding, lambing, harvest).

About You:

• Experience with cropping and/or sheep operations;
• Competent in machinery operation and mechanical servicing;
• Practical skills in fencing, livestock handling, and farm repairs;
• GPS/auto-steer experience (Trimble preferred);
• HR licence or willingness to obtain;
• Positive attitude, reliable, and a strong work ethic.
