Job Description

A well‑established, family‑run broadacre cropping business in the Great Southern region WA is seeking an experienced Machinery Operator/Truck Driver.

  • Seasonal hours during seeding and harvest, including 12‑hour days
  • Road train and truck work forms part of harvest and off‑season logistics

About the Role:

  • Operate broadacre machinery across seeding and harvest with a modern machinery fleet with GPS/auto‑steer
  • Operate trucks during harvest
  • Out of season truck driving carting grain and collecting lime or fertiliser from Perth or the South West coast
  • Carry out machinery servicing, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs
  • Large well equipped workshop with cement flooring
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of sheds and work areas
  • Provide direction and leadership to seasonal staff during busy periods
  • Participate in daily discussions and weekly planning meetings

About You:

  • Experienced all‑round broadacre machinery operator
  • Confident working independently and as part of a small team
  • Comfortable taking responsibility for organising and completing your own jobs
  • Practical mechanical aptitude with a preventative maintenance mindset
  • Willing to work extended hours during peak seeding and harvest periods
  • Holds a full car licence and truck licence (or willing to work toward MC)
  • Professional, reliable, and respectful in the workplace
