A long‑standing, family‑run cropping enterprise in the WA Wheatbelt is seeking a Permanent Farmhand to join the business following a period of staffing change and recent property expansion. This role is being recruited with a long‑term view, with the business placing strong importance on stability, reliability, and cultural fit.
The position is primarily based at the main home farm, with some work across additional nearby properties during peak periods such as seeding. 
This opportunity would suit a capable machinery operator who values being part of a close‑knit team and is looking for a genuine long‑term role.

About the Role:

  • Operation of modern cropping machinery including tractors, seeders, sprayers, headers, and loaders;
  • Spraying duties including chemical mixing and application;
  • Grain, fertiliser, lime, and gypsum cartage;
  • General cropping duties across seeding, spraying, and harvest;
  • Routine machinery maintenance and basic fault identification;
  • Monitoring crop health and assisting with day‑to‑day farm operations;
  • Working closely with the operations manager on daily priorities;
  • Standard weekday hours outside peak periods;
  • Increased hours and six‑day work weeks during seeding and harvest.

About You:

  • Around two or more years cropping experience (seasonal experience acceptable);
  • Confident machinery operator with a strong safety focus;
  • Solid spraying experience, including chemical handling and application (highly regarded);
  • HR truck licence strongly preferred (MC advantageous);
  • Mechanically minded with the ability to identify and report issues;
  • Honest, reliable, and accountable;
  • Comfortable working in a family‑run team environment;
  • Open communicator who takes responsibility and learns from mistakes;
  • Seeking a genuine long‑term role.
