An opportunity is available for a Stock Manager or highly experienced Senior Farm Hand to join a well‑established mixed sheep and cropping operation near Frankland River in Western Australia.

The business is seeking someone capable of taking ownership of the day‑to‑day management of the sheep enterprise, including planning and execution of seasonal and daily tasks. This role would suit an experienced Stock Manager, or a strong hands‑on operator ready to step up into a management position over time.

The enterprise runs approximately 10,000 sheep alongside a modest cropping program and operates with a small, supportive team. To secure the right long‑term person, the owners are offering increased remuneration and upgraded family accommodation, with scope for responsibility and input across the operation.

About the Role:

  • Full responsibility for sheep husbandry and stock management, including planning and execution of tasks;
  • Sheep work including drenching, crutching, marking, drafting, feeding and shearing coordination;
  • Monitoring animal health and identifying issues early;
  • Planning stock movements and daily priorities;
  • Machinery operation including chaser bin, air seeder, spreader and general farm equipment (as required);
  • Machinery maintenance and basic workshop duties;
  • Fencing and general farm work;
  • Typical hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with additional hours during peak periods.

About You:

  • Proven experience in sheep husbandry and stock management;
  • Ability to plan work, prioritise tasks and work autonomously;
  • Strong work ethic and physically fit for hands‑on livestock work;
  • Confident decision‑maker with good initiative;
  • Mechanically minded with ability to carry out routine maintenance;
  • Broadacre machinery experience preferred;
  • Manual driver’s licence essential; HR truck licence advantageous.
