Job Description:
A well‑established, family‑owned broadacre cropping business in WA’s Great Southern is seeking an experienced Assistant Farm Manager to join their leadership team.
This is a hands‑on, senior role suited to someone who enjoys leading people, managing day‑to‑day operations and taking ownership across spraying, seeding and harvest. The successful candidate will work closely with the owner and play a key role in the efficient running of the entire cropping program.

About the Role:
- Assist with the management of a 13,000ha broadacre cropping operation;
- Lead spraying operations, including chemical application, batching, calibration and record keeping;
- Coordinate daily cropping logistics across seeding, spraying and harvest;
- Supervise staff and seasonal operators, allocating tasks and maintaining workflows;
- Operate and maintain modern cropping machinery during peak periods;
- Assist with harvest coordination, including machinery efficiency and paddock planning;
- Hands‑on role with genuine operational input and decision‑making.
About You:
- Strong background in broadacre cropping systems;
- Confident spray operator with sound chemical knowledge;
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem‑solving ability;
- Experience supervising staff or leading daily operations;
- Calm, organised and communicative under pressure;
- Comfortable working long hours during busy periods;
- HR or MC licence required;
- Experience with CASE machinery and precision ag systems highly regarded.
