4 Permanent Livestock Positions Available:

A large mixed farming and cattle business in the Esperance region is expanding its livestock team and looking for four people to join their expanding cattle operations.

Running approximately 1,200 breeding cows and 4,000 head of finishing cattle, this business has invested heavily in its livestock division and is continuing to grow. With breeding, finishing, pasture production, silage and feed programs all operating from the one property, the successful applicants will have the opportunity to be part of a progressive cattle operation with genuine long-term career opportunities.

About the roles: 

Finishing Team:

Finishing Cattle Overseer: Lead day-to-day finishing operations while working closely with the General Manager. This role will involve overseeing staff, coordinating feeding programs and driving cattle performance.
Finishing Cattle Stockperson: An ideal opportunity for someone with feedlot, dairy or cattle feeding experience. Machinery experience, including mixer wagon operation, is highly regarded.

Breeding Team:

Senior Breeding Cattle Stockperson: A senior hands-on role working alongside the Head of Breeding, with involvement in calving, pasture management, AI, embryo transfer and breeding programs.
Breeding Cattle Stockperson: A practical livestock role suited to someone with breeding cattle experience looking to further develop their skills within a large-scale operation.

About You:

We’re interested in speaking with people who have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Breeding cattle operations;
  • Finishing cattle operations;
  • Calving and livestock husbandry;
  • AI, ET and breeding programs;
  • Pasture management;
  • Machinery operation and feeding systems;
  • Team leadership and staff supervision;
  • Feedlot or dairy experience.
