Job Description:  

A family-owned cattle enterprise located near Moora is seeking an Operations Manager to become a key part of the business and take increasing responsibility for the day-to-day running of the property. This role has a strong livestock focus and would suit someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in animal husbandry and grazing management, and wants to build a long-term future within the industry. Working closely with the owners, the successful applicant will play an important role in the ongoing development of the business, with the opportunity to progressively take on more responsibility over time.

About the Role:

  • Oversee day-to-day farm operations;
  • Manage cattle husbandry and livestock production activities;
  • Assist with pasture and grazing management;
  • Operate machinery and support seasonal farm operations;
  • Work closely with the owner while progressively taking on more responsibility;
  • Monitor and prioritise daily tasks across the property;
  • Contribute to planning and operational decision-making;
  • Work independently and confidently when required.

About You:

  • Previous cattle experience essential;
  • Comfortable working unsupervised and taking ownership of tasks;
  • Strong livestock handling and animal husbandry skills;
  • Practical machinery experience and sound mechanical awareness;
  • Interest in grazing, pasture management and production systems;
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills;
  • Organised, reliable and self-motivated;
  • Current driver’s licence required;
  • Truck licence advantageous but not essential.
