Job Description

Our client, a mixed farming business located 135km from Esperance, is seeking an experienced Senior Farm Hand to join their team. This role will see you working across a diverse enterprise of 6,000ha cropping and ~4,000 sheep, with responsibilities spanning cropping operations, livestock, and managing casual staff. You’ll be joining a supportive team with a mix of experienced long-term employees and trainees, and have access to modern CASE machinery.

About the role:

• Permanent, full-time position (min 38hrs/week);
• Cropping operations: seeding, spraying & harvest;
• Livestock husbandry and general farm duties;
• Operate and maintain modern CASE machinery;
• Assist with staff supervision and management of casuals;
• Opportunity to train into truck driving.

About you:

• Experienced in mixed farming operations;
• Broadacre cropping and livestock skills;
• Spraying & harvest operation experience desirable;
• Strong mechanical aptitude;
• Team player with good communication skills;
• Non-smoker (required for accommodation and workplace);
• Willing to assist with training and support of less experienced staff.
