A well‑established mixed farming enterprise in the Great Southern is seeking an experienced Senior Farmhand to join their small, stable team. This is a long‑term permanent role for someone who enjoys variety across cropping and livestock and wants to step into a genuine “right‑hand person” position.
This role suits someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working independently, and supporting the owner when required – without being a formal manager.

  • Mixed operation: approx. 4,000ha cropping + 3,000 sheep;
  • Small, stable team: owner + one full‑timer + seasonal harvest staff;

About The Role:

  • Broadacre cropping operations: spraying, seeding, spreading, harvest support;
  • Livestock work: sheep checks, waters, feeding, fencing, seasonal tasks;
  • General farm work: maintenance, workshop tasks, property upkeep;
  • Optional MC truck driving (desirable but not essential)

About You:

  • Strong cropping experience essential (spraying & seeding);
  • Confident with sheep and general livestock work;
  • Competent machinery operator with broadacre experience;
  • Practical, proactive, observant, and self‑motivated;
  • Works well in a small team; low‑ego, respectful attitude;
  • Comfortable working independently without micromanagement;
  • Basic mechanical aptitude an advantage;
  • MC licence beneficial but not essential;
  • Suitable for individuals seeking long‑term stability.
