Permanent General Farm Hand opportunity available (sheep focus) for a practical, reliable livestock person who can work well in both a team environment and independently, based in WA’s Great Southern.

Good Things to Know:

    • The role is based approx close to Kojonup, with Boyup Brook also within reach;
    • Both towns offer schools, medical services, shopping, sporting clubs, and community facilities;
    • High‑school options available in larger nearby centres;
    • You’ll be part of a small, experienced livestock team that works together and supports each other;
    • The property you’ll be based on has excellent infrastructure and is considered an easy‑to‑run operation;
    • This is a long‑term role on a business that values retaining good people, not constant turnover;

About the Role:

  • Role is primarily sheep-focused (not a cropping machinery role);
  • Work is often in pairs, with the wider stock team coming together through the week;
  • Daily sheep work including feeding, water checks, and mob monitoring;
  • Animal health tasks such as drenching, needling, and general treatments;
  • Support livestock events as required (e.g. shearing/crutching periods);
  • General livestock property maintenance and day-to-day farm hand duties;
  • Some tractor/auger use for feeding tasks (no seeding/harvesting required);
  • Basic recording/data entry via simple apps.

About You:

  • Solid livestock experience and confidence working with sheep;
  • Reliable team member with good communication and care factor;
  • Practical, task-focused, and able to work independently when required;
  • Preferably suited to someone who is self-sufficient and uses initiative;
  • Comfortable taking responsibility;
  • C Class driver’s licence required;
  • Preferably non-smoker (preference).
