22-year-old family man looking to get out of FIFO and settle into a long-term farm role in southern WA. Currently working on a 3-on-3 roster but wants to be home every night with his partner and young son. Based around the Lake King/Newdegate area and ideally looking to stay within a couple of hours of family support. Minimal farming experience but comes from a sheep and cattle background and has experience with mustering, livestock husbandry, fencing, hay feeding, truck driving, front-end loaders, bobcats, telehandlers, excavators and general machinery operation. Has also worked in civil construction, horticulture and remote drilling operations. Doesn’t have extensive broadacre cropping experience but comes across as a quick learner who isn’t afraid of hard work and is keen to get into the industry. Looking for a permanent role with accommodation if possible and is seeking around $40/hr. Suitable for employers willing to give a younger candidate an opportunity.
