Main Duties:
- The day-to-day involvement on a sheep feedlot fattening cross bred lambs;
- Regular stock movements;
- Regular weighing;
- Loading sheep;
- All aspects of sheep husbandry could include drenching, tailing, ear tagging and some crutching.
- Some fencing;
- Feeding silage;
- General work around the feedlot - may need to do some weekend work for weighing the lambs with the livestock agent and/or helping load sheep;
- Some weekend work will be required.
- Background in sheep husbandry and knowledge as will be left unsupervised at times;
- Genuine passion for farming and working with livestock;
- Basic machinery operating.
- Some basic mechanical skills.
- Start Date: Immediate start available, flexible based on candidates availability;
- Hourly Rate (excluding superannuation): starting at $31.00 per hour;
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5:30pm (some weekend work will be required);
- Accommodation: House with full amenities;
- Our client is also a large cropping farm and at harvest they have a Cook who prepares the meals for harvest workers and everyone will receive an evening meal whilst harvest is on whether you are doing sheep work, fencing or other non-related harvest jobs.
