Our client, a family owned and run mixed enterprise across 3000ha based in the Wagin region, are now looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated permanent General Farm Hand with livestock skills to join their team.

This a great opportunity to join a family owned, mixed broadacre farm offering a fantastic central location (an easy drive to the coast and regional cities in The Great South West and the Great Southern areas of WA). Lots of variety with the role involving 50% cropping and 50% livestock (sheep) across two farms.  Accommodation provided is a 3 x 1 modern clean home.

Commencing February 2024 
 
Good to know:

• Winter crop is 1500ha which includes canola, oats, barley.
• Currently run 12,000 merino sheep
• 3000ha
• Modern JD equipment with GPS and Autosteer
• Work vehicle will be provided with provision
• Great location 

About the role:

• Chaser bin operation
• HR truck license
• Airseeder operation
• Spreading - JD GPS and Autosteer
• Shearing - mustering, drenching and backlining
• Crutching - mustering, drafting, push up to crutching trailer
• Mulesing - work on cradle, picking up lambs
• Machinery - maintenance and workshop duties
• Fencing
• General mixed farm work

About You:

• It is essential you have broadacre machinery experience, livestock skills and a solid background working on a mixed broadacre property.
• Suited to an individual looking to become part of this team and be settled in this position. Couple or small family would suit as well.
