Our client, a regenerative farming business in the Eastern Wheatbelt of Western Australia, undertaking a mixed cropping and livestock enterprise is looking for a Regenerative Crop and Pasture Manager. The farm is located 45km east of Mukinbudin which is a thriving country town of 350 people. It is only 75km north of Merredin which is the largest regional center in the eastern wheatbelt. Their focus is on improving soil health and growing soil carbon whilst producing profitable crops and livestock and maintaining a high standard of animal health and welfare. They are doing things differently and we want someone who shares that vision.

About the role:

• Working with the business owner and Livestock Manager to integrate the management of crops and pastures into the whole farm system;
• Preparing paddocks for the following seasons activities which may include clearing rocks and trees and fencing;
• Machine and Tractor Operations and truck driving:

• Planting, spraying, fertilizing, harvesting
• Nurse truck, grain carting, moving machinery
• Assisting with livestock program (sheep program);
• Machinery maintenance - may include welding/fabricating/repairs;

About You:

• Be passionate about regenerative agriculture and willing to learn and grow your skill set as time goes on;
• Have previous experience operating and maintaining a wide range of farm machinery including rollers, sprayers, seeders, headers, and trucks;
• Have a positive attitude and be keen to experiment and implement new ideas, always looking for ways to improve our processes for better efficiency;
• Be easy going and able to communicate effectively with contractors, staff and local businesses;
• Be willing to get stuck in and do the dirty, physical work that comes with agriculture;
• Be self-motivated and genuinely enjoy working alone;
• Be willing to grow into the role and take on more responsibility over time;
