Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Hyden WA (REF: 523595)

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic required for a 16,000Ha cropping program split between two farms with the main farm located near Hyden, Western Australia. This role will cover all aspects of cropping, general farm duties and machinery maintenance. Would suit someone wanting to drive in and drive out of current location as hours are very flexible, however accommodation is also provided. Excellent package available including utilities, work ute and negotiable salary.

About the Role:

• Working alongside 5 full time employees and 3-6 additional seasonal staff;
• General farm maintenance/duties;
• Requirement to work minimum of six weeks on secondary farm (3 hours south of Hyden);
• Tractor Operating and truck driving:
  • Planting, spraying, fertilizing, harvesting;
  • Nurse truck, grain carting, moving machinery;
• Machinery maintenance - may include welding/fabricating/repairs.

About you:

• Experience in broadacre agriculture;
• Cropping experience with GPS and Auto Steer;
• Able to work well autonomously and in a team;
• Desirable:
  • HC/MC Licence;
  • Mechanical knowledge and welding experience;
• Good communication skills.
