Cattle Farm Hand, Albany Region, WA (REF: 530960)

Our client, a Wagyu beef producer is, is looking for a Farm Hand to join their team. This role would suit someone with a passion for cattle breeding and genetics, who also enjoys the day to day animal husbandry of working with cattle. If you are physically fit and have a good grasp on using technology for data entry (directly related to animal welfare and condition) then this could be the next role for you. This farmer is willing to train if you are new to the industry.

• Integrated into all areas of the Wagyu supply chain
• Located 20 mins from Albany - own transport required to get to and from the farm

About the Role:

• General Farm Hand
• Feeding, water system monitoring
• Fencing, and general property maintenance
• Stock work, mustering, calf rearing, other animal husbandry duties
• Tasks around fodder production - silage and hay duties

About you:

• Eager to learn about daily tasks and intricacies of breeding Wagyu cattle.
• Solid computer skills for data entry tasks
• Physically fit, able to carry out manual tasks
• Interest in working with stock
• Able to work as part of a team

What's on offer:

• $27+ p/h depending on experience 
• Hours: 38 hours per week
• No accommodation provided, this is a DIDO role
• Meat provided at Christmas time
• Vehicles for use on farm
