Senior Farm Hand/ Farm Manager, Eneabba WA (REF: 572074)

A family run cattle and cropping enterprise are seeking a Senior Farm Hand or Farm Manager to effectively oversee and run 150 head of cattle as well as operate and maintain a range of broadacre farming machinery. Must be experienced with cattle and have a good understanding of how to diagnose and repair machinery, experience required in harvest and seeding processes, and a MC license is desirable. Located in Eneabba, WA just 52kms out of Leeman. This company are offering accommodation with various options depending on your situation and includes utilities, a work vehicle along with running costs as well as flexible work arrangements.

• Mixed 5,000Ha cropping enterprise with 150 head cattle;
• 15km from Eneabba town and 52kms from Leeman;

About the Role:

• Start date: Immediate;
• Responsible for overseeing and running the cattle efficiently;
• Feedlot & water checks;
• Fencing repairs & general farm duties;
• Machinery operation including sprayers, spreaders, seeders, headers & trucks during harvest;
• Machinery maintenance & repairs;
• Machinery: John Deere headers, tractors & sprayers, Bourgault Seeders, all machinery is run on John Deere GPS systems, Scania trucks;
• Size of team: 5.

About you:

• Must be experienced with operating & maintaining broadacre machinery;
• Experienced with GPS/Autosteer;
• Cattle experience required;
• Ability to work in a team & communicate effectively;
• Honest and reliable - knows when to report issues with gear etc;
• MC desirable;
• Non-smoker preferred.
