2IC/Senior Operator, Williams (REF: 573407)

Our client requires an experienced 2IC/Senior Operator on this family run property in the Western Australia wheatbelt region close to Williams (only 1½ hrs from Perth). You will be an enthusiastic and motivated person who will join a happy and welcoming team of 6 within a great work environment, great infrastructure, and very modern equipment. The right candidate can be trained and developed for a management role.
 
The 7,000Ha property with a cropping program of 4,000Ha produces canola, wheat, barley, oats, and hay along with 25,000 sheep cared for by 2 dedicated stockmen.
 
About the role

• Assist Manager with day to day and cropping operations
• Machine and tractor operations and truck driving
• Maintain machinery and equipment
• Planting, spraying, fertilizing, harvesting
• Nurse truck, grain carting, moving machinery
• Supervision of staff
• Opportunity for livestock work if desired

Essential Requirements:

• 2 years experience in similar role
• Car license; HR licence would be desirable
• Experience in broadacre machinery operations and agronomy
• Mechanically minded - maintain machinery, service, and repair
• Demonstrated ability to apply initiative
• Ability to work well in a team as well as autonomously
• GPS/Autosteer knowledge and tech savvy
• Honest and easy going personality
• Self starter with a positive attitude

• New Holland Harvesters
• JCB Fastrac tractors and loadalls
• GPS/Autosteer
