A unique opportunity as a 2IC has become available initially in the Hyden region. Reporting to the Farm Manager, this role will suit a Senior Farm Hand who is looking to gain experience in Management position. This is a hands-on role, that will require you to carry out the day-to-day duties on the farm, and then manage seasonal casuals during seeding and harvest seasons as well as various other duties involved. The client is offering a generous salary package that includes a 5x2 homestead (including a tennis court), utility allowances, a work vehicle, and meat provided direct from the farm. About the Role:

• Overseeing the farms cropping and sheep activities;
• Machinery Operating: Air Seeder, Sprayer, Harvester;
• Modern Machinery & farm maintenance;
• Managing seasonal casuals;

  
About you:

• Experience with operating cropping machinery and a solid understanding of agronomy;
• Personnel and Management Skills (seasonal casuals);
• Skilled in machinery maintenance, repairs and welding of harvest & seeding equipment;
• Desirable: Sheep management skills;
