About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Stockperson to join a large cattle property located in the breath-taking coastal location. This role is open to those seeking a casual role. There is a strong opportunity for a permanent position for the right person with strong career progression opportunities across multiple properties. or long term role with a large-scale mixed farming operation.
As part of a dynamic and motivated team, you will play a crucial role in the 3,000-head cattle while ensuring best-practice low-stress stock handling techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Basic duties of stock movement, yard work;
- Checking cattle during calving (calving experience not necessarily needed but a good eye for reporting something wrong);
- Feeding Out (training provided for the mixer wagon attachment);
- Daily cattle husbandry and animal health tasks;
- Implementing low-stress stock-handling techniques;
- General farm maintenance, fencing, and water infrastructure management.

Ideal Candidate:

- Solid cattle husbandry experience and attention to detail;

- Tech-savvy or willing to learn livestock management software.
