Job Description

Experienced General Farm Hand required on a lovely family run farm near Dandaragan (150km north of Perth, 45km from Moora and 60km from Lancelin). This is a mixed farming enterprise which crops wheat, barley, lupins and canola and runs a large flock of sheep. Accommodation and a competitive salary package is on offer.  You will have relevant skills and a farming background, with proven ability to work long hours when required.

  • Location: Dandaragan, 150km north of Perth, 45km from Moora and 60km from Lancelin
  • Primary school to Year 6
  • High school in Moora – bus runs past the farm
  • Team of 3

About the role:

  • Operating a variety of agricultural machinery such as sprayers, headers, air Seeders, spreaders
  • Mustering, Drenching and drafting sheep
  • Mechanical duties including maintenance of plant and equipment (experience desirable but not essential)

Skills Required:

  • Experience operating machinery
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Be a team player along with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Flexibility with seasonal work and work hours
  • Knowledge of Autosteer/GPS systems desirable (can provide training)
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to weld is desirable
  • Previous experience in spraying, seeding and harvest (desirable)
  • Manual class c motor vehicle licence (essential)
  • HR truck license, or willingness to obtain (desirable)
