Job Description:
A well-established mixed farming enterprise in Western Australia’s Great Southern region is seeking an experienced Senior Farmhand to take the lead in day-to-day livestock operations while supporting the cropping program during busy periods. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working with sheep, takes pride in animal husbandry, and wants to be part of a small, stable team.

About the Role:

  • Take primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of  self-replacing UltraWhite ewes;
  • Assist with seeding and harvest operations when required;
  • Operate tractors and farm machinery;
  • Undertake general farm maintenance and repairs;
  • Work closely with the owners as part of a small team.

About You:

  • Strong livestock experience and animal husbandry knowledge essential;
  • Confident handling sheep through all stages of production;
  • Good understanding of animal health and welfare;
  • Competent tractor operator;
  • Experience with fencing and general farm maintenance;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills;
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of livestock operations;
  • Comfortable assisting with cropping activities during peak periods;
  • Current C Class driver’s licence required.
