Full Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced livestock professional to join their leadership team in a senior operational role.
This position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for a large-scale livestock enterprise, overseeing day-to-day operations, cattle performance, grazing management and team leadership. It is well suited to somebody who enjoys balancing hands-on livestock management with strategic decision-making and people leadership.
This is a role where your experience and judgement will be valued. You will have the opportunity to influence production outcomes, lead a capable team and contribute to the ongoing success of a highly regarded agricultural business.

About The Role:

• Oversee day-to-day livestock operations;
• Monitor and improve cattle performance;
• Manage nutrition and feeding programs;
• Coordinate stock movements and husbandry activities;
• Implement and manage grazing strategies;
• Manage livestock health and welfare;
• Lead and mentor a small livestock team;
• Coordinate operational planning and resource allocation;
• Maintain accurate production and livestock records;
• Work closely with management to achieve production targets;
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the operation.

About You:

• Strong practical livestock experience;
• Proven leadership and people management capability;
• Sound understanding of cattle nutrition and animal performance;
• Experience managing grazing systems and pasture utilisation;
• Good organisational and planning abilities;
• Comfortable using digital record-keeping systems;
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound operational decisions;
•  Agricultural qualifications (highly regarded)
