Our client is seeking a Farmhand or Senior Farmhand to join their mixed farming operation located near Hyden, WA.
The business runs approximately 1,500 hectares of cropping alongside a 4,000-head sheep enterprise, providing genuine variety throughout the year. 

This opportunity could suit either an experienced operator capable of working independently or someone with a solid farming background who is looking to continue developing their skills. The owner is open to bringing on either a senior employee, a developing farmhand, or potentially both if the right candidates are found.
Rather than relying on seasonal labour, the business is looking to build a long-term team and create more support across the operation. The role offers exposure to all aspects of the enterprise, with plenty of variety between machinery operation, livestock work, maintenance and day-to-day farm activities.

About the Role:

  • Machinery operation;
  • Seeding and harvest activities;
  • Spraying operations;
  • Sheep husbandry and livestock handling;
  • General farm maintenance;
  • Basic mechanical repairs and servicing;
  • Fencing and general property work;
  • Working across both cropping and livestock enterprises.

About You:

  • Previous farming experience in cropping, livestock or mixed farming;
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks;
  • Practical mechanical aptitude highly regarded;
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Current driver’s licence;
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
